Privacy Policy Summary
Proppy is a mobile-first profit-tracking app for prop firm traders in the United States. It helps users track payouts, prop firm costs, receipts, optional bank imports, dashboard metrics, and exportable record-keeping reports.
Proppy provides record-keeping and exports only. Proppy is not a bank, financial adviser, tax adviser, tax preparer, accountant, broker, investment adviser, or tax filing service. Not tax advice. Consult a qualified professional. Any tax set-aside or estimate feature is a budgeting estimate only and is not a guarantee of your tax liability.
In plain English:
- • You can use Proppy manually. Connecting a bank account is optional.
- • If you connect a bank account, we use Plaid. Plaid helps securely connect your financial account so Proppy can receive read-only account and transaction data.
- • Proppy cannot move money. We cannot make transfers, initiate payments, withdraw funds, or change your bank account.
- • We do not store your bank login credentials. Your bank login details are entered through Plaid and are not stored by Proppy.
- • Bank imports do not affect your ledger automatically. Imported transactions stay separate until you review and confirm them.
- • We collect data needed to run Proppy. This includes account information, transaction records, optional receipts, optional bank imports, app settings, support messages, security data, and subscription status.
- • We do not sell personal information. We do not use your financial data for third-party advertising.
- • AI suggestions are only suggestions. Proppy may suggest transaction categories, but you must confirm them before they affect your ledger, totals, reports, or exports.
- • You have privacy rights. Depending on your state, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your data.
- • You can contact us. Email support@forgewealth.co.uk with the subject line "Privacy Request."

This Privacy Policy applies to users of Proppy on iOS and Android. Proppy is intended for users aged 18 or over. Proppy is currently focused on users in the United States. If Proppy expands to other regions in the future, we may update this Privacy Policy.
4. Short-Form Plaid Consent
This short-form consent is intended for display in the in-app bank connection flow before a user connects a financial account through Plaid:
By selecting Continue and connecting your account, you agree that Proppy, operated by Forge Wealth Group Ltd, can receive read-only account and transaction data from Plaid for the purposes described in our Privacy Policy. You also acknowledge that Plaid's End User Privacy Policy applies to Plaid's collection and use of your data: https://plaid.com/legal/#end-user-privacy-policy.
Proppy cannot move money, initiate payments, or make transfers. Bank connection is optional, and you can use Proppy with manual entry only.
5. Connecting Your Bank Account Using Plaid
Bank connection is optional. You can use Proppy by manually entering payouts, costs, firms, accounts, receipts, and other transaction records. If you choose to connect a bank account, Proppy uses Plaid Inc. ("Plaid") to connect to your financial institution and receive financial account information.
5.1 What Plaid Does
When you connect your financial account, you will be prompted to authenticate with your financial institution through Plaid. By connecting your account, you direct Plaid to access and share certain financial account information with Forge Wealth Group Ltd, as operator of Proppy, for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. Plaid's End User Privacy Policy applies to Plaid's collection and use of your information: https://plaid.com/legal/#end-user-privacy-policy. Proppy may use AI to suggest categories for imported bank transactions when rules you create or Proppy's standard classification logic cannot classify them. AI classification is designed to reduce manual work, but you remain in control.
9.1 What AI Does
AI may suggest whether an imported transaction appears to be, for example, a payout, prop firm fee, platform fee, subscription, or other category.
9.2 What AI Does Not Do
- • Automatically change your confirmed ledger
- • Automatically change your tax exports
- • Make financial decisions for you
- • Provide tax advice
- • Provide accounting advice
- • File taxes
- • Replace professional review
You must confirm an imported transaction before it affects your ledger, totals, reports, or exports.
9.3 Data Minimisation for AI
When AI classification is used, Proppy sends only the limited transaction details reasonably needed to suggest a category. This may include merchant name, transaction description, amount, currency, date, category hints, and similar transaction patterns. We do not send bank login credentials, full bank account numbers, routing numbers, or payment card numbers to AI classification providers.
9.4 AI Audit Logs
We may retain AI classification records for quality, debugging, compliance, abuse prevention, and service improvement. AI audit logs are generally retained for 12 months, unless a longer period is reasonably needed to investigate security, fraud, abuse, technical issues, legal requests, or disputes.
10. How We Share Personal Information
We share personal information only as needed to operate Proppy, provide requested features, comply with law, protect rights and safety, or with your consent where required. We do not sell personal information. We do not use financial data for third-party advertising.

You may request account deletion by emailing support@forgewealth.co.uk with the subject line "Privacy Request." After we verify your request, we aim to delete your account and associated personal information within 30 days, unless we need to retain limited information for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, legal compliance, or other purposes permitted by law.

11.6 Export Files
Tax Pack export links are designed to be short-lived. Export files are not intended to be permanently stored by Proppy unless required for technical delivery, troubleshooting, security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or other purposes permitted by law. If you download an export to your own device or cloud storage, that copy is outside Proppy's control.
11.7 Legal and Tax Records
Proppy provides record-keeping and exports only. You are responsible for retaining records needed for your own tax, accounting, legal, or reporting obligations.
